Two inch acrylic key chain
Feast Day: April 28
Patroness of mothers, physicians, and unborn children
St. Gianna was an Italian pediatrician who considered the field of medicine to be her mission. In 1955, she married Pietro Molla. Near the end of her pregnancy for her fourth child, St. Gianna experienced immense pain, and it was discovered that she had a fibroma in her uterus. Doctors gave her three choices, an abortion, a complete hysterectomy, or removal of only the fibroma, which could save the baby. After a successful operation to remove only the fibroma and delivery, St. Gianna died a week after the baby was born. St. John Paul II describer her as, “a simple, but more than ever, significant messenger of divine love.”
